In Chiapas, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, met with United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, to evaluate the “Sembrando Vida” reforestation program.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that Mexico has millions of hectares to promote the “Sembrando Vida” program, which could be transferred to more Central American countries and thus be able to address the migration problem.
“This Sowing program implies an investment of 1,300 million dollars a year but it employs 450,000 peasants.”, He specified.

After taking a tour of the area where “Sowing Life” is applied, John Kerry supported the program that is being implemented by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
