The 6th Local Fresh Dates Festival 2021 concluded on yesterday, July 30 after successfully accomplishing its objectives of promoting Qatari dates.
The Festival started on July 15 with the support of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
Different dates variety from over 80 farms across the country were there in the festival at Al Ahmad Square, Souq Waqif.
The festival tent at Al Ahmad Square extended over 3,600 square metres which could uphold almost 720 people at once.
The authorities called festival as a chance for farms to showcase their products and visitors to buy fresh dates as if it from palms directly.
Al Ikhlas, Al Shishi, Al Khenaizi dates, and Al Barhi, Al Iraqi, Al Selaji, Al Sukkari, Al Saqi, Al Zaghioul, Nabat Seif, Al Lolo, Al Helail, Al Rzizi and Al Kabkab were the major Qatari dates available in the festival.
