The Arab Ambassadors Council is presided over by Qatar in Vienna
The State of Qatar has assumed the presidency of the Arab Ambassadors Council’s current session in Vienna. The meeting of the Council was led by HE Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Austria.
Members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors congratulated the Qatari envoy on taking the presidency of the Council at the start of the meeting. They emphasised their willingness to work with him in a way that promotes collective Arab action.
Members of the Council praised Qatar’s amazing performance in hosting the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021. This is part of Qatar’s plans to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
HE Ambassador Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansoori, for his part, expressed his desire to see the Council’s work succeed and to support Arab-Austrian relations.
They went over the most important items on the agenda, including the preparation for the Board of Governors of the International Energy Agency’s session in March, the first Arab conference on the role of Arab migrant health competencies in supporting health systems in Arab countries, which will be held in Cairo on March 16, and the results of the ninth session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which will be held on March 16.
