Ricky Rubio will miss the rest of the NBA season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced in a statement Wednesday.
The Spanish veteran suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s 108-104 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. It will be a long and difficult recovery process for the Catalan.

In 34 games, Rubio averaged 13.1 points per game, with 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds. He was in one of the best offensive seasons of his NBA career.
