Tomorrow marks the beginning of ‘Bard Al Azariq’ in Qatar
Doha: The coldest days of the year in Qatar, known as ‘Bard Al Azariq,’ begin tomorrow, according to the Qatar Calendar House (QCH).
Beginning on Monday, January 24, the Bard Al Azariq will last until the following Monday, January 31. These are the coldest days of the year, and they last for eight days.
The weather in Qatar has been unusually chilly over the previous few days, with temperatures dropping below 10 degrees Celsius in certain areas early in the morning.
This morning’s temperatures in Qatar ranged between 9-14°C, with Sawda Natheel being the coldest. On January 22, 2022, apparent temperatures ranged from 0 to 13 degrees Celsius, with the lowest being -2.4 degrees Celsius in Abusamra.
People feel different temperatures than thermometers record. These are called apparent temperatures, and they can be caused by a lot of things, like how humid the air is or how fast the wind is moving. In the winter, the higher the wind speed, the colder it seems.
