The discussion focused on the recent developments in the area, especially in Afghanistan. Both sides emphasised the need of protecting civilians, a peaceful transition of power, and de-escalating tensions towards a comprehensive political settlement that ensures security and stability for the Afghan people.

As a result, he thanked the Amir for Qatar’s assistance in the evacuation of civilians and for the country’s involvement in the Afghan peace process. The conversation also focused on the strategic bilateral connections between the two countries, as well as the potential for developing and enhancing them.
