Glover Teixeira: “I’m going to go with the belt at UFC 267”

At almost 42 years old, Brazilian Glover Teixeira, currently number 1 in the UFC division, will face Polish champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267 for the light heavyweight title, on October 30 in Ilha da Luta, Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates.

«I am very happy with the training I have been doing. After my loss to Corey Anderson, I decided to radically change my life routine. I gained discipline, I train smarter, I don’t overload myself, and that was reflected in my performances from that fight »said Teixeira in dialogue with Combate.

“Blachowicz is a good fighter, he has knockout power, but if a hand does not happen, which is something that happens in a fight, I am very sure that I will go with the belt”, sentenced the Brazilian.

And closed: “My boxing is very well trained, I have been training with Alex Poatan, but the truth is that if there is a gap, I will throw the guy to the ground, because my jiu-jitsu is very sinister!”.

The 38-year-old Bachowicz is coming off five straight wins with a unanimous decision against the Middleweight champion,Israel Adesanya, in the stellar of theUFC 269in March.

Teixeira, meanwhile, earned his second title shot, finishing within three rounds of the former challenger,Thiago Santos, atheadlinerof theUFC Las Vegas 13.
