How to customize the widget panel in Windows 11

The info cards consist of two main sections, a top section that offers widgets for weather, sports, your latest photos, and other custom topics. A news section provides headlines from a variety of sources.

To access the widgets, all you have to do is click on its icon in the taskbar or the Windows + W keys.

And if you’re on a touch screen, you can swipe to the left. AndOnce you do that you should see a variety of widgets at the top that give you information about sports scores, weather, stock prices, and any photos you may have in your OneDrive account.

There is also a search box and a button that allows you to add new widgets, and you can also scroll down to find a number of news sources.

Windows 11 provides a variety of ways in which you can modify your widget panel. Which includes:

  • To pan press and hold the top of the tool until you see an open hand and you can then reposition it in the board.
  • To resize, remove, or customize a widget from your panel, tap the three dots in the top right.
  • Clicking on the tool’s name in the upper left corner will take you to a separate page where you can access more information.
  • If you want to see the current selection of available widgets, click on Add Widgets option.

Customize your news feed

In the News section below the Add Tools button you will find a main section called Top News. Which highlights the main news headlines followed by the individual headlines. And both come with icons at the bottom that let you interact with them.

It provides the option to add URL link tools at the bottom left that takes you to the Microsoft start page in the Microsoft Edge browser.

And with the My Interests tab, you can customize the appearance of the news you want or don’t want. AndOn the left side of the page you can choose from different categories, such as news, sports, travel, health and more.

Other tabs you can choose from include Profile and History. And a settings option that lets you choose the display language for the home page.

It also has options that let you turn many features on and off. This includes interaction icons and some background cards.
