Hamad Medical Corporation launches a website providing information on motherhood and childhood

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation has launched a micro-website to promote health education in the field of motherhood and childhood, which includes information on maternal and child health and disease prevention.
The site is one of the educational resources dedicated to women aged 15 years and over who want to obtain reliable health information based on evidence and scientific evidence, specialized in the field of women’s health, pregnancy, mental health-related to childbirth, breastfeeding, and care for newborns, in addition to information about antenatal care services available at primary health care centres, and maternity and child services available at obstetrics and gynaecology departments at Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra Medicine hospitals.

The website was launched within the framework of the National Health Strategy (2018-2022), which aims to improve the health of women of childbearing age by providing them with high-quality health care, health education, and allowing them to take care of themselves and their children.

The micro-website can be accessed through the Hamad Medical Corporation website. It contains helpful health tips and instructions and answers to frequently asked questions about health and wellness related to pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and preventing infection during pregnancy. Dr Najat Al-Khunyab, Deputy Medical Director of the Women’s Health and Research Center, Head of the Maternal and Fetal Medicine Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation and Leader of the Women’s Health Priority for Healthy Pregnancy in the National Health Strategy (2018-2022), said that the information in the website provides an answer to many women’s inquiries in childbearing age and improving awareness of maternal and child health.
