MoPH stops giving birth certificates in hospitals

Doha: Government and private hospitals in Qatar will no longer hand out birth certificates by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

As part of preventative measures, the Ministry stated that this change will reduce the spread of Covid-19. As of yesterday, the decision remains in effect. 

The MoPH also stated that birth certificates and official documents can be sent via Qatar Post within 48 hours of issuance for a fee of QR 30.
