Apple offers audio only plan through Apple Music

announced Apple announced the audio-only plan via Apple Music, a new subscription category for Apple Music designed around the power of Siri.

The audio-only plan gives subscribers access to the service’s list of 90 million songs and tens of thousands of playlists, including hundreds of new mood and activity playlists, custom mixes, and genre stations, plus Apple Music Radio. And all through Siri for $4.99 a month.

“Apple Music and Siri are natural partners and work seamlessly together,” said Oliver Chaucer, corporate vice president of Apple Music and Beats. With Siri actively used across hundreds of millions of devices around the world, we’re excited to add this new plan that provides an easy music experience using your voice and makes Apple Music accessible to more people around the world.

Users can sign up for the audio plan only with Siri by saying β€œHey Siri, start trying out the audio plan,” or by subscribing through the Apple Music app.

Once subscribed to the audio plan, users can request music to be played across all of their Siri-enabled devices. Including HomePod mini, AirPods, iPhone, or any other Apple device, and when using CarPlay.

Apple Music also adds hundreds of new playlists for moods and activities. Created by the editing experts at Apple Music that are fully optimized for audio only.

Subscribers can ask Siri to play certain playlists for a personalized music experience. These new playlists are available to every subscriber on any Apple Music plan.

You can now access Apple Music using Siri

Audio plan subscribers also get access to the full Apple Music playlist collection, including favorites like New Music Daily, Rap Life, Today’s Hits, Today’s Country, A-List Pop, R&B Now, and more.

The Voice Plan is available later this fall in 17 countries and territories. Including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom and United States.

Voice plan subscribers get a personalized in-app experience with suggestions. Which is based on the listener’s music preferences and the list of recently played music by Siri.

There is also a dedicated section within the app called Just Ask Siri. Where subscribers can learn tips to improve Siri for Apple Music.

And to access premium Apple Music offers. Including spatial audio, lossless audio, songs, music videos, and more. Subscribers can easily switch to the Apple Music Single plan for $9.99 per month. Or a family plan with up to six accounts for $14.99 per month.
