Qatar ranks second in a new vaccination statistics

For countries with a population of more than one million, Qatar is ranked second in the world for the proportion of people who have gotten at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, according to “Our World in Data”, a scientific online magazine that compiles vaccination data from around the world.

There were more than 4,230,000 doses provided, with 79.8 per cent of the population receiving at least one dose, according to Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

When it comes to completely vaccinated populations, “Our World in Data” puts Qatar sixth in the world, with 68.9% having got two doses.

To now, Qatar’s immunisation programme has been a huge success, according to the Ministry of Public Health. A limited number of people who are eligible for the vaccine have not yet accepted their invitation to get vaccinated, according to the Ministry.
