Qatar Cabinet: Children under the age of 12 are not permitted inside mosques

Doha: Mosques will remain open for daily and Friday prayers, but children under 12 will not be permitted admission, as part of the new Covid-19 preventative measures authorised by the Qatar Cabinet.

With effect from Saturday, January 9, 2022, this decision will be implemented. The mosques will stay open while the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs take precautionary steps.

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs will decide whether or not mosques may open toilets and ablution facilities.
