Roman Reigns criticizes CM Punk’s UFC career

[ad_1]

CM Punk didn’t have a good run in the UFC, at least inside the Octagon; had two fights and lost both clearly. In the first one in 2016, he was rendered by Mickey Gall in two minutes. In the second he lost a unanimous decision to Mike Jackson. Although it should be noted that the latter was reversed to no result when his opponent tested positive for marijuana.

Roman Reigns recently took advantage of this bad experience of the “Chicago Made” as a fighter to criticize him. Their story comes from afar, from when they worked together in WWE, but currently it is related to the fact that while the former is still in this wrestling company, the latter has just entered AEW; both companies have a great rivalry since 2019.

This said the Universal Champion to Complex when asked if he would like to face Punk again:

I wouldn’t say no. But I mean, on a personal level, it doesn’t do anything to me. That is not going to elevate me at all. Now he is older. I haven’t really seen a complete match. I’ve seen a clip or two. And for me, they have missed a step or two.

โ€œThen he also did what he did in the UFC. I don’t think anyone really believes that someone with 200 pounds soaked and no explosive bones in their body can do anything to me.. I’m 6’3, I weigh 265 pounds, a legitimate athlete who can throw some weight and has been on the grid at the highest level. D1. All ACC.

โ€œI probably would have stayed in the NFL if my health problems hadn’t happened when I was 22 years old. So, I mean, when it comes down to it, I’ll throw him and the rest of that club cast with no problem.. They are just little brothers, you know?
