For overseas students in 2023, the following master’s degree scholarships are available:

Japanese and World Bank Scholarships Collective

Students from developing nations are sponsored by the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) to enroll in one of the preferred and partner master’s programs at participating universities across the world. The scholar’s living expenses, travel expenses, and tuition are all paid for by the award.

Scholarships offered by ADB Japan

The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) seeks to give qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member nations the chance to pursue postgraduate studies at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. Full tuition fees, a monthly subsistence, and housing allowance, a stipend for books and school supplies, medical insurance, and travel costs are all covered by the scholarship.

Scholarships offered by the Aga Khan Foundation

Each year, the Aga Khan Foundation awards a set number of postgraduate scholarships to deserving students from impoverished nations who have no other way to pay for their education. Scholarships are given out on a basis of 50% grant and 50% loan.

Rotary Foundation Global Study Grants

For a period of one to four academic years, the Rotary Foundation Global Grants can be used to pay for graduate-level coursework, research, or its equivalent in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus. The scholarship awards are worth at least $30,000.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme at UK Universities

The UK Commonwealth Share Scholarships are designed to help students from developing Commonwealth nations who otherwise could not afford to study at the Master’s level in the UK, to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to the development of their home nations. Each scholarship offers a stipend, thesis grant, warm clothing allowance, study travel grant, extra baggage allowance, approved tuition and examination costs, approved flight from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award, and approved airfare from your home country to the UK.

University of the West of England Chancellor’s Scholarships (UK)

Over £100,000 in scholarships are available to international students each year at the University of the West of England, Bristol. This applies to the Chancellor’s Scholarship, for which the winner must engage in University ambassadorial work during the duration of the program. One academic year’s worth of tuition is fully covered by the scholarship.

Developing Solutions Scholarships at the University of Nottingham (UK)

International students from Africa, India, or another developing Commonwealth member who desire to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Nottingham and contribute to the growth of their home nation are eligible for the Developing Solutions Scholarships. A total of 105 scholarships are given out each year, covering 50% of tuition for 75 recipients and the entire cost of tuition for 30 recipients.

Leiden University Excellence Scholarships

Outstanding non-EEA/non-EFTA students enrolled in a master’s degree program at Leiden University are eligible for the Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS). The scholarships can be in the amount of €10,000 toward tuition, €15,000 toward tuition, or the entire amount of tuition less the house charge.

Utrecht University Excellence Scholarships

Several exceptional aspiring students have the chance to attend Utrecht University and study for a Master’s degree in one of a few specialties thanks to the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship. Scholarships may be given as tuition only or as tuition plus 11,000 euros for living expenses.

University of Maastricht Holland High Potential Scholarships

Talented students from outside the EU/EEA can apply for University of Maastricht Holland High Potential Scholarships to pursue a Master’s program there. The scholarships pay for the cost of tuition, monthly living expenses, insurance, and visa fees.
