Scott Coker talks about Fedor Emelianenko’s win
«That was really special. I’ve been in the fighting game for a long time and for him fighting in his hometown in front of all his fans, it was a lot of fun to watch. It was a really special night and, like I said, being a promoter for so long, there are some times that they capture that moment in time and really this was that night.
“I was like, wow, at 45 he can still do it. He threw combinations at Tim that I haven’t seen in a while, honestly. I think the pressure of being home really helped him. When I saw him yesterday, he seemed so focused and I think a lot of that was at stake for him. He’s here and he’s proud to be here, with all his people here, it was an amazing night. Wow. Amazing.”

“I can’t remember the last time Tim was knocked out or if he has ever been knocked out like that. Fedor, he threw some combinations at Tim that I thought, man, his hand speed is still there. Your speed of response is still there. He proved it. He showed me that he’s still the best of all time.
“I was sitting with David Green, Javier Méndez and Khabib [Nurmagomedov], and we were talking about how: ‘Jesus. Amazing at 45, he can still do it like this. ‘ It’s amazing, it’s like time has stopped for him«.
Coker also commented on if this fight will be Emelianenko’s last:
I’ll tell you, I haven’t talked to Fedor about it. I just want to enjoy this moment and I think he just wants to enjoy this moment. So you will speak to us in two to three weeks and we will have an answer.«.
