Sony brings PS5 footage to your phone automatically

announced Sony Corporation is testing a way to share screenshots and video clips taken on the PlayStation 5 platform using the PlayStation app.

The new feature is part of a limited beta version available to all PlayStation 5 users in Canada and Japan.

The feature makes it easy for users to access screenshots and videos on their phones to share directly on social media. This is instead of posting directly from the platform using the inconvenient typing functionality.

Once the feature is enabled, the platform automatically uploads all footage to the cloud. New Snaps should start appearing in the app. Share via social media, or directly with PSN friends and group members in the app.

The company said: Videos and screenshots of games are available in the PlayStation app for 14 days after they are manually created via the PlayStation 5 platform.

You don’t need a PlayStation Plus membership to use the feature, at least in this beta version.

However, clips must be at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels to appear in the app. Sony says higher resolution clips will not be uploaded.

And if you delete a screenshot or video from the PlayStation 5 platform, you can still access it via the PlayStation app.

And the company page out for more information. But you may have some problems accessing it.

Sony is testing a feature to easily share PS5 screenshots

After nearly three years as the best-selling console in the United States, the Nintendo Switch platform has been ousted by the PlayStation 5.

PlayStation 5 was the best-selling gaming platform in terms of units sold and total payments in September 2021.

September 2021 halted the remarkable streak of 33 consecutive months as the Nintendo Switch was the market leader in unit sales.

US video game console sales as a whole saw a 49% increase in September 2021 compared to the previous month. Total sales for the year so far have been $3.4 billion.

This marks the return of Sony consoles, which took the lead with the PlayStation 4 before the Nintendo Switch’s dominance began.
