Amir announced the date of the Shura Council election

It was announced today, August 22, that the Shura Council will elect its members in 2021 under the Amir’s Decree No. 40 of 2021. The Shura Council members were to be elected on October 2, Safar 25, 1443 AH, according to the order.

The ordinance further mandated that residents whose names appear on voter registers in all electoral districts would be called to cast their votes in the election of members of the Shura Council on the specified day. The decision is effective from the date it is published in the official gazette.
