Awqaf Ministry launched ‘Waqf and Image 2021′
Doha: The 3rd competition of the ‘Waqf and Image 2021′ has been launched by the General Endowments Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The photography competition is on both national and international levels.
The competition was announced yesterday during a press conference. This year’s competition will deal with the Endowment Fund for Health Care. ‘Waqf and Image 2021′ is organized in cooperation with the Qatar Photographic Society. Preventive measures and social distancing are the two axes of the local competition.
The submission of photos for the local competition began yesterday. Participants can submit their photos on the competition’s website. The deadline for submitting photos is December 30, 2021.
During the press conference, Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani said that the competition will take place on both national and international levels. Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani is the Director-General of the General Endowments Department.
Here are the prizes for the international competition winners:
- First prize: $10,000
- Second prize: $7,000
- Third prize: $5,000
- Winners from 4th to 10th places will get $2,000, each.
List of prizes for the winners of the Local competition:
- First prize: QR10,000
- Second prize: QR7,000
- Third prize: QR5,000
- Winners from 4th to 10th places will get QR2,000, each.
