Clubhouse offers a high quality audio option for musicians

she added Clubhouse put on a new music mode this week, redoubling its commitment to focus on social sound in all its forms.

The new Music Mode gives musicians playing live via the social network their own set of tools to improve sound quality. The new mode arrives on iOS first before rolling out to Android.

The platform has a huge amount of competition from big companies that want to own the live audio space. But you may get ahead of it in one specific way.

This situation helps make the platform a better place for live music, before Amazon’s reported entry into that space, and with Twitter beginning to roll out Ticketed Spaces where musicians can host shows. Spotify also has its own live audio app.

And if you’re a clubhouse musician, or love to listen to live music via the app, the new Music Mode improves the platform to stream your music in high quality and stereo sound.

The platform does not say what high quality means. But also remember that you can now connect professional equipment, such as a USB microphone or mixing board, and use it while broadcasting.

The platform added a spatial audio feature in late August, which makes conversations seem more like a room full of people than a voice call.

You can easily turn on the music mode by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the room, selecting the sound quality, and then choosing music. However, if you want to just listen to the performance, you don’t have to do any of this.

The platform also noted that the recently introduced Clips feature – which allows you to capture a 30-second recording – supports stereo audio as well. So if you decide to save an excerpt from the performance in Music mode, the sound quality remains the same.

Clubhouse update search feature

Apart from the music mode, the platform has also updated its search feature. The platform now displays the search bar in a more convenient place at the top of your lobby.

As an added bonus, you can also wave to friends directly from the search bar, a feature that allows you to quickly invite friends to the live audio room.
