Doha: The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) released the summary results report of its thorough mobile network assessment on its website yesterday. The survey was performed from September to December 2020 to evaluate the telecom service providers in Qatar, Ooredoo Qatar, and Vodafone Qatar, on their quality of service (QoS) levels.
Mobile phone calls, SMS, and mobile internet data services were all included in the audit. The audit assessed some of the Service Providers’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which are in compliance with the CRA’s requirements and conditions for their licences, as well as the appropriate legislative framework.
The audit collected more than 55,000 samples and was conducted during the peak hours of working days in Qatar. The audit’s goal, according to CRA, was not to find the best network or create a comparison amongst Qatar’s telecom service providers. The CRA website has a summary of the findings report of the QoS audit of mobile networks 2020.
