Epic Games Wants To Take Advantage Of Cryptocurrency

Epic Games has said it is open about games that support cryptocurrency or blockchain-based assets on its game store, unlike rival Valve which has banned games featuring blockchain or NFT technology from the Steam store.

Regarding NFT Games, the company clarified that there may be some restrictions. But Epic Games is ready to work with the first developers in the new field.

The company noted that games must comply with financial laws, explain how the blockchain is used, and have appropriate age ratings.

It also states that developers will not be able to use the company’s payment service to accept cryptocurrencies. And they should use their own payment systems instead.

He added, β€œAs a technology, a blockchain is just a distributed transaction database with a decentralized business model that stimulates investment in hardware to expand the capacity of the database.” This has a benefit whether it succeeds or fails a particular use of it.
