Opel has presented a special electric car that is designed for short distances in the city. Young people and novice drivers in particular should be enthusiastic about the small and agile Opel Rocks-e. The low price is also impressive.

Update from November 2, 2021: The Opel Rocks-e can now be ordered online. The car manufacturer gives the price 7,990 euros on, special color variants are available for 8,790 euros. The electrically powered small vehicle is marketed as SUM, which is supposed to stand for Sustainable Urban Mobility (source: Stellantis / Opel). City dwellers who want to be part of electromobility will already have a large selection before the Opel Roxy. However, that did not prevent the German carmaker from presenting a small and comparatively slow electric car. The manufacturer specifies the range up to 75 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. The car is only 2.41 meters long and 1.39 meters wide without exterior mirrors. Including the battery, which has an output of 5.5 kWh, the car weighs just 471 kilos. The Opel Rocks-e is equipped with 14-inch wheels. The turning circle is 7.2 m and the battery can be fully charged in around three and a half hours. An ordinary socket can be used here, provided that it is not further than 3 meters from the car. Opel Rocks-e probably for 7,000 euros

Opel wants to officially launch its small electric car from autumn 2021. A price has not yet been named, but the almost identical model is Citroën Ami for 7,000 euros to get. Interested parties can register on the Opel website to be informed about the launch of the Rocks-e (source: Opel).
