Razer releases components for PC

Razer is expanding into PC components with release Liquid coolants, chassis fans, and even platinum-rated power supplies.

As you’d expect, all three products feature RGB lighting, a hallmark of Razer hardware. There is a PWM fan controller that can control up to eight fans and is integrated with Synapse software.

Razer Hanbo is the company’s all-in-one coolant with a controllable RGB pump housing. The company has partnered with Asetek to create an AIO cooler, and says Hanbo is designed for maximum thermal performance and silent operation. The pump is 360 degree steerable. So you can put it in any setting situation.

The company offers both 240 and 360 mm coolant sizes. But pricing information has not been released yet. These AIOs arrive sometime in November. Razer says it will continue to collaborate with Asetek on new AIO coolers in the future.

The new Kunai fans are also designed to help you cool your PC. These chassis fans use hydraulic bearings and are available in 120 and 140 mm sizes.

And the company has built in an RGB ring on the front and back. It offers 18 LEDs controllable via the 120mm fan and 22 LEDs controllable via the 140mm version.

Kunai fans can be controlled using Synapse software. The fans deliver up to 2,200 rpm via the 120 mm version and up to 1,600 rpm via the 140 mm version.

Razer is particularly proud of the static pressure in the chassis fans. It says it owns 70 percent more than competitors. And you’re able to sequentially link or control these fans together.

Razer competes with Corsair and Cooler Master

RGB chassis fans would not be complete without a fan controller. So the company also created a PWM fan controller.

The controller supports up to eight Kunai fans and integrates with Synapse to provide customizable fan curve controls.

Razer also placed a magnet on the back of the console. So it can be installed on any steel in the back of the chassis.

Razer’s Kunai chassis fans start at $44.99, and the PWM fan controller is $49.99.

The Platinum-rated ATX power supply is fully modular and includes an aRGB fan that is fully compatible with Razer Chroma.

A variety of capacities are available from 750 watts to 1200 watts. And there’s up to 1,600 watts of a titanium-rated PSU.

Furthermore, the company says it uses Japanese rated 105-grade capacitors and high-quality components for its Katana power product.

It expects to begin shipping it in early 2022 once it is fully approved. But the company has not announced the pricing for the Katana yet.

Razer is entering a crowded market with its expansion in PC hardware, with gamers like Corsair, Cooler Master, NZXT, and Noctua all trying to cool off their custom PCs.
