Qatar Charity joins together with a local effort to provide employees with water.

A local effort headed by Khaled Al-Buainain, a student, enabled Qatar Charity (QC) to give drinking water to 1,000 employees at their workplaces.

Fatima Al Mohannadi, Director of Programs and Community Development Department at the Qatar Charity (QC), expressed her joy at being a part of youth initiatives in humanitarian work and praised the idea because it focused on one of the important segments that work in construction projects and contribute to the development of infrastructure. In addition, she lauded the youth-led humanitarian and communal activities.

Owner Khaled Al-Buainain thanked QC and Lusail Mineral Water Factory for their support and sponsorship. He said: “The idea was based on the values of solidarity and compassion that our religion urges. The workers were working on construction under the high temperatures, so I thought that I would distribute cold water to them during their work.” To ease the pain of those targeted, he stated his desire to continue the effort in the following summer seasons and obtain assistance from diverse sectors.
