Apple releases iOS 15.1 with SharePlay

Launched Apple’s iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 feature, and the big new feature is the return of SharePlay, a feature that was originally meant to be in iOS 15.

The company rolled out new versions of iOS, watchOS, and tvOS to coincide with the launch of macOS Monterey.

The feature allows people to call friends or family and watch movies, TV, or listen to music together. And SharePlay syncs the content so everyone can watch it at the same time.

iOS 15.1 also includes some improvements to the camera options for the iPhone 13 Pro models. And a new Auto Macro toggle is available for the iPhone 13 Pro, allowing you to turn off auto macro mode if you find it annoying.

ProRes video capture is also available in iOS 15.1. So you can capture better quality video with iPhone 13 Pro at 30fps in 1080p on 128GB models or in 4K on 256GB and above models.

The company is also working on enabling iOS 15.1 users to add a coronavirus vaccine card to the Wallet app, similar to how the Android version of this feature from Google works.

And if you’re a HomePod user, iOS 15.1 adds lossless audio and Dolby Atmos with support for spatial audio to ‌HomePod‌ and HomePod Mini.
