Available tomorrow via PlayStation Direct

The PS5 will apparently start selling on PlayStation Direct tomorrow. According to unconfirmed reports, Sony has started sending out relevant invitations.

Buy PS5: Probably available tomorrow via PlayStation Direct

During the week we reported that PlayStation Direct also started in Germany. Among other things, you can buy a PS5 there – at least in theory. Because as with regular trade, the console is not available there either. But something is happening.

Sale by invitation

According to reports that have not yet been verified, the first PlayStation players were sent an invitation to buy a PS5 via PlayStation Direct tomorrow. It should be available on November 11, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. But even with the exclusive invitation, it is by no means guaranteed that all interested parties can buy a copy of the PS5, because availability only applies while stocks last.

It is unclear how players qualify for an invitation. It is quite possible that a valid PlayStation Plus membership will help. It offers another advantage: Orders via PlayStation Direct are sent to PS Plus members without shipping costs. Otherwise, 3.99 euros will be charged for shipping. For an express delivery it is 5.99 euros.

You can also purchase games and accessories for the PS5 through PlayStation Direct, including the Pulse 3D headset, PS5 remote control, HD camera and charging station. The DualSense models are also sold in Midnight Black for 69.99 euros, in Cosmic Red for 74.99 euros and the standard model for 69.99 euros.

PlayStation Direct has achieved significant sales in the US market within a little over a year after its launch, said SIE President and CEO Jim Ryan a few months ago. A growth of 300 percent is targeted for the current financial year, supported by the start in Europe.

More news about Sony:

It is unclear when the PS5 will be widely available in stores. The hope lies at least in the fact that significantly more consoles will be in stores during the Christmas business in 2022. The current bottleneck is the availability of chips. But even at this point, Sony is becoming more and more involved and is involved in the construction of a corresponding factory in Japan.
