Clubhouse will soon allow you to pin links at the top of rooms

The Clubhouse platform allows people to share external links and monetize their work through it, where announce Paul Davison, CEO and global head of marketing, Maya Watson, announced the new Pinned Links feature, which allows admins to place external links at the top of the room.

These links can direct listeners to what moderators want, such as a Patreon page, news article, or podcast. Any moderator can change or remove the link at any time.

Some links will not be allowed for security and moderation reasons. Davison did not explicitly state what types of links he would not allow. But suggest not to accept links to OnlyFans because links to pornography are prohibited.

Anyone can add, change, or remove a link, as long as they’re a room admin and no matter how many followers they have. The feature launches on October 27 for iOS and Android.

The platform will not take a portion of the revenue from any transactions that occur through the link. That’s though Davison said the team will likely share news in the coming months about ways to monetize the app itself, such as rooms with tickets and subscriptions.
