The Los Angeles Lakers have not had a convincing season and management is already moving into the market to try to strengthen the team for the hypothetical playoffs.
According to John Hollinger of The Athletic, Norman Powell, Derrick White and Marcus Smart are options managed by management to protect the team and help LeBron James and company offensively and defensively.

The Lakers want to seek changes for players who, in addition to being recognized offensive players, can help with their defense, one of the Achilles heels of the team in 2021-22.
However, the team has to look for which players it can offer in any change, something difficult, knowing the high salaries of the team.
