Another game confirmed for PSVR 2.0

PSVR 2.0 could hit the market as early as next year. And meanwhile another game is known that you can tackle on it.

Even if the hardware didn’t even get an appointment, the next title for the virtual reality headset PSVR 2.0, or whatever it may be called, has been confirmed. According to the announcement this week, “Samurai Slaughter House” is one of the launch titles for the upcoming PS5 VR glasses. The title will also be made available for PCVR, i.e. HTC Vive and Co, and for Oculus Quest 2.

Samurai Slaughter House is a Metroidvania-style physics-based open world fighting game. According to the manufacturer, the features of the title include a detailed story, NPC interactions and rudimentary RPG elements.

Stealth and brute force

As the game progresses, you should use stealth, creativity or brute force to take out your enemies. You will explore an open world inspired by anime, manga and the brutal Sengoku period.

“Fight in intense open-world battles against people, demons and creatures from folk lore,” said the makers. “Explore cities to interact with NPCs, buy and sell items, take on new main and side quests, rest in an inn to heal or wait for the day to change, and make items.”

In the course of “Samurai Slaughter House” you can form friendships and recruit powerful allies. Numerous weapons are also promised, including swords, polearms, thrown weapons, chain weapons and bows.

PlayStation VR 2.0 could be launched in the coming year. However, it cannot be ruled out that the ongoing chip crisis, which is already affecting the production of the PS5, will cause a delay. More about PlayStation VR and the new model can be found in our topic overview.
