Qatar Airways wins the Best Airline title for a record 6th time

Doha: For the record-breaking sixth time, Qatar Airways has received the distinguished Skytrax Airline of the Year award. Qatar Airways was also named the World’s Best Business Class, Middle East’s Best Airline, and World’s Best Business Class Seat.

“We’ve done it again! #QatarAirways has been named #Skytrax ‘Airline of the Year’ for a record-breaking 6th time! We also scooped four ‘World’s Best’ awards for our Business Class services (incl. Lounge, Airline Seat and On-board Catering) – and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,” the airline tweeted.

The most recent customer survey lasted 23 months (September 2019 to July 2021), and the 2021 Awards include some travel during the global pandemic as well as more regular travel seasons. There have been some up and down moves in the Top 20 airlines compared to 2019 statistics, but a core of airlines still controls these upper places. Out of more than 350 airlines involved in the survey results, Qatar Airways was awarded Airline of the Year 2021, followed by Singapore Airlines in second place and ANA All Nippon Airways in third place.

Being named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ for an unprecedented sixth time is an enormous achievement, and provides our passengers with even greater confidence that they can travel with Qatar Airways as the first global airline to achieve the Skytrax COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating while transiting through Hamad International Airport, the Skytrax ‘World’s Best Airport’ for 2021,” he said.
