It continues with the rumors about the “Call of Duty” spin-off for the year 2022. As a well-known insider source would like to have found out, a mode should be offered that playfully is based on the successful multiplayer shooter “Escape from Tarkov” “will orient.

In the past few weeks we have regularly received fresh rumors about the latest “Call of Duty” offshoot for the coming year. The title is in development at Infinity Ward and should, according to several insiders, be a direct successor to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” from 2019.

Playful breath of fresh air for multiplayer?

As the insider would like to have found out, the developers at Infinity Ward will not only take a new approach to the staging of the campaign. In addition, according to “RalphsValve”, a new multiplayer mode is part of the game, which in terms of play will be reminiscent of the successful multiplayer shooter “Escape from Tarkov”. Depending on the size of the lobby, 20 to 35 players compete against each other – either solo or in the form of squads with two to four members.

The task of the players or the teams is to snatch a designated prey under the nail and then to retreat to an extraction point in order to bring the prey to safety and to carry off the victory. In order to make the mode interesting in the long term, according to “RalphsValve” it can be played on different maps, which sometimes stand out quite clearly from each other. There is also talk of a bazaar and a gunsmith who can manufacture new weapons or improve existing ones.

Please note, however, that the statements by “RalphsValve” have not yet been officially commented on. And the official unveiling of the new “Call of Dutys” by Infinity Ward is not expected before mid-2022.
