Over 1600 referred for violating Covid 19 preventive measures in Qatar
Doha: On Saturday, designated authorities sent over 1600 people to the prosecution for violating the Covid 19 preventive measure (January 29, 2022).
899 persons were cited for not wearing masks, 743 for failing to maintain a safe physical distance, and 27 for failing to download the Ehteraz app.
The restrictions are in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision on the matter. Masks are still required in public locations for all residents and citizens.
“In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating Covid 19 preventive and precautionary measures in force,” Ministry said in a statement.
