Neil Druckmann announced on Twitter that his work on “The Last of Us” series has been completed. Production seems to be going well.

Naughty Dog’s Vice President Neil Druckmann was instrumental in the production of The Last of Us series. He acts as a co-writer and is one of five directors. Now he announced that his work has been successfully completed.

He wrote on Twitter yesterday: “Unfortunately … my time in Canada is over. To the best television crew in the world: Thank you for your incredible work, your passion and for making me feel so welcome! I will miss you terribly! I look forward to returning to Naughty Dog (and some warmer weather!) “

Filming will continue for several months

However, that does not mean that the shooting has already come to an end. He probably directed one or two episodes that have now been shot successfully. At this point, another director can take over the series. In addition, the pilot episode was only end of August accomplished.


Production is not expected to be completed until summer 2022. When exactly the series will start is still unknown. You will have to be patient at least until autumn next year.
