Halo Infinite’s multiplayer designer joins the Star Wars team
As industry veteran Patrick Wren confirmed on Twitter, he recently joined Respawn Entertainment’s “Star Wars” team. In recent years, Wren has worked as a multiplayer designer on “Halo Infinite”, among other things.
In the past few months, the people in charge at Respawn Entertainment have confirmed several times that the studio is currently working on several projects.
On the one hand, we are of course dealing with the Battle Royal shooter “Apex Legends”. In addition, rumors persist that Respawn Entertainment’s “Star Wars” team has started work on a sequel to “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order”. The “Star Wars” team will receive active support from the experienced industry veteran Patrick Wren, who announced via Twitter that he has joined Respawn Entertainment.
Successor to Fallen Order has not yet been officially announced
Wren worked for the last few years at Xbox Studio 343 Industries, where he was involved as a designer in the development of the multiplayer for “Halo Infinite”. At Respawn Entertainment, Wren will hold the post of senior encounter designer and, according to his own statements, will be involved in the US studio’s next “Star Wars” project. Patrick Wren has experience with the brand, as he has worked at LucasArts in the past and worked there on the discontinued “Star Wars: First Assault”.

An official announcement of a successor to “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” is still a long time coming, but in recent months there have been increasing indications that the next “Star Wars” title from Respawn Entertainment will indeed be one new “falling order” could trade. On the one hand, of course, the commercial success of the debut speaks in favor of a successor.
In addition, the developers of Respawn Entertainment spoke several times in the recent past of wanting to continue telling the story of “Fallen Order”. The sequel has not yet been officially announced. It is therefore still in the stars when the unveiling of the project can be expected.
