Doha: Following an exceptional global turnout, the first session of ticket applications for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by lottery system will close on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. Doha time, the window for ticket applications via the FIFA website will end. This is a chance for everyone to try their luck and apply early, avoiding the hassle of looking for tickets as the World Cup approaches.
Tickets for the World Cup in Qatar are the cheapest since the 1990 tournament in Italy, at 40 Qatari riyals each. FIFA encouraged supporters to enter the lottery, the results of which will be disclosed after March 8. The number of tickets given to this first stage is one-third of the overall number of tickets, which totals over 3 million.
Whether they apply on the first day, the last day, or at any point in between, all candidates will have the same opportunity to purchase tickets. After the application period has ended, the process of assigning tickets will commence.
