TV spot brings Aloy and Kratos into the Champions League

In a TV commercial that first aired during the Champions League on October 19, there are CGI replicas of Kratos (“God of War”), Nathan Drake (“Uncharted”), Aloy (“Horizon”) and Ratchet & Clank seen in a crowded stadium.

PS5: TV spot brings Aloy and Kratos into the Champions League

Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a new PlayStation TV commercial. He puts the spotlight on some of the iconic characters from the PS5 provider’s first-party titles.

After the TV commercial has started, you can watch Aloy, Kratos and other characters storm the UEFA Champions League or a game that is currently in progress.

Nathan Drake climbs a stadium

The video also shows Nathan Drake from Uncharted climbing the stadium for a bird’s eye view as Ratchet and his buddy Clank help carry an injured player off the field. Kratos also interferes with the action, while Aloy watches from the sidelines.

The setting is of course no coincidence: Sony has been a sponsor of the UEFA Champions League for some time and has been working with the company on numerous football-related projects for more than years. It shouldn’t hurt the demand for the PS5.

Sony announced last week that the PS5 has shipped 13.4 million times worldwide since it was launched in November 2020. And according to reports, the company has started PlayStation 5 inventory by air freight to the UK to be transported in order to better serve the demand in the run-up to Christmas.

More news about the PS5:

The PS5 is still a coveted piece of hardware that is rarely found in offline and online retail. Due to the chip crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, the market launch took place at an inopportune time. Sony still assumes that the Delivery targets for the current financial year can be achieved, which speaks for a growing production.
