“World Class Chefs” initiative of Qatar Tourism kicks off this month

Doha: The first guest of the “World Class Chefs” initiative will show his expertise at exclusive Chef’s Table sessions between October 26-30. The “World Class Chefs” initiative is organised by Qatar Tourism, in collaboration with Qatar Airways, Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) and Kings of Kitchen.

Chefs from around the world will participate in the two-year initiative of Qatar Tourism which will look for investment opportunities in the emerging Middle East hub of gastronomy by introducing their best culinary talent to the region.

Chef Julien Roucheteau, one of France’s most renowned chefs, will be hosting Chef’s Table sessions at IZU restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Msheireb Downtown, from 6 pm to 8 pm and from 8:30 pm to 10 pm. There are limited seats available and bookings can be made through the hotel’s website. Bookings can be made through the hotel’s website and there are only limited seats.

Chef Julien Roucheteau is known for crafting the menu of La Table du Lancaster. While he was in charge, this exquisite restaurant in the heart of Paris was awarded a Michelin star. Besides Les Magnolias, Le Diapason, and Le Cinq, he has also shown his culinary talent at other top Parisian restaurants.

The cuisine of Chef Roucheteau is rooted in the French tradition. Aside from his Michelin-Star, he has also received many prestigious culinary honours, including the “Challenge Culinaire du Président de la République” and “Le Prix Zepter”.
