Hitmen of the Elite Group of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) they attacked police officers in León, in the state of Guanajuato, almost simultaneously. The drug traffickers Armed men attacked at four different points, leaving two officers wounded and one dead.
The first occurred in a mobile booth located on the Vasco de Quiroga Boulevard, near the corner of Saturno, which was the target of an attack.

Another attack occurred on Bulevar San Pedro, in the Jardines de Jerez neighborhood, where a policeman called for reinforcements before the onslaught of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel hitmen.
The third event occurred in the León II colony. Later, a traffic officer was attacked while traveling on his patrol on Insurgentes Boulevard.
“We condemn the events recorded this afternoon, in which three colleagues were attacked in simultaneous events. Unfortunately, one lost his life and there are two in medical care, ”the corporation wrote on its official Twitter account.
“An intense operation is being deployed with federal and state forces to find those responsible,” the authorities declared.
In a statement also published on Twitter, the right-wing mayor, Alejandra Gutiérrez, condemned the events and promised that there would be a strong hand against those responsible.
“We are not going to back down, I will be fighting and taking the bull by the horns; the security elements have my full backing and at no time will they be alone, the corporation is restructured and the new security model continues, ”he posted on the social network.
