Gaza hospitals receive breast cancer treatment drugs from Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS)
Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society provides drugs used to treat breast cancer to the Ministry of Health of Palestine in Gaza. QRCS aims to maintain the treatment and prevent the treatment from stopping.
The intervention has provided 21 types of chemotherapy drugs. These drugs are required on a permanent basis for the treatment.
Head of QRCS’s representation office in Gaza, Dr Akram Nassar, said that the intervention is part of a project to provide rehabilitation and treatment facilities to patients with breast cancer. The project has a total cost of $864,000.
Qatar Red Crescent Society brings down the shortage rate
A recent intervention by QRCS enabled 1,400 patients with breast cancer to receive treatment services, bringing the shortage rate down to 30%.
