Authorities refer over 250 people for Covid 19 precautionary measures violation
Doha: On Saturday, the designated authorities submitted 268 people to the Prosecution for violating the Covid-19 preventive measure (February 19, 2022).
“In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating the Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures in force,” the Ministry said in a statement.
14 persons were reported for failing to download the Ehteraz app and 254 persons were reported for failing to wear masks in places where they were necessary.
Citizens and residents are required to wear masks in any closed facility or designated public area under the Cabinet decision on Covid-19 limitations.
