Call of Duty Vanguard: Launch tomorrow
Call of Duty Vanguard is about to be released. The digital version of the shooter will be activated the next night. The preload is already possible.
The shooter “Call of Duty Vanguard” is only a few hours away from the release. The WW2 shooter will be released tomorrow, November 5th, 2021 for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One consoles as well as for the PC.
Preload started and download sizes
If you have pre-ordered the digital version of “Call of Duty Vanguard”, you can already crank up the preload, whereby the data size on the individual platforms is quite different. Far more storage space is required on PlayStation systems. Below is an overview of the GB numbers:
- PS5: 64.13 GB Download | 89.84 GB of space required
- PS4: 54.65 GB Download | 93.12 GB of space required
- Xbox Series X / S: 61 GB Download | 61 GB of space required
- Xbox One: 56.6 GB Download | 56.6 GB of space required
You cannot play the digital version of “Call of Duty Vanguard” immediately after the download. Instead, you have to wait until it is activated, which will take place at midnight the next night.
Several editions available
“Call of Duty Vanguard” is being sold in several editions, which cost different amounts, including the PS4 standard version for the price of 69.99 euros, the cross-gen edition that you can play on both PS4 and PS5 for 79.99 euros and the Ultimate Edition for 109.99 euros. In addition to the game for both platforms, the latter also includes:
- Master art construction plan in BOCW / WZ
- Operator Arthur Kingsley in BOCW / WZ
- Frontline weapons package
- Task Force 1 package
- 5 hours 2xEP + 5 hours 2xWEP
- Vanguard Battle Pass Bundle
Tip: The PS5 version is currently available at Media Markt with a 12 percent discount at a price of 69.99 euros. You can get the PS4 version there for 64.99 euros.
Campaign with Nazi symbols
As Gameswirtschaft reports, you don’t have to do without Nazi symbols in “Call of Duty Vanguard” in the USK version either. However, it is usually only used to a limited extent. While you get to see the symbols in the campaign, Activision apparently does without them in multiplayer mode.

The correct classification of the game is a prerequisite for the authorization to display the NS symbols when the competent inspection authorities make their decision. That means, a clear opposition to National Socialism has to come into focus, which is extremely difficult in a multiplayer game in which both sides are sent onto the battlefield.
