GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition: For technical reasons
As the developers of Rockstar Games confirmed on request, various cheats had to be removed in the “GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition”. Aside from the fact that this decision was made due to technical issues, the studio didn’t go into any further detail.
This week Rockstar Games released the game collection called “GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition”, which includes technically revised versions of “GTA 3”, “GTA: Vice City” and “GTA: San Andreas”.
One of the most popular features of the originals at the time was the cheats, which offered players the opportunity to access various advantages or to adjust the game in an entertaining way. As the developers of Rockstar Games confirmed on request, not all of the original cheats found their way into the new editions of “GTA 3”, “GTA: Vice City” and “GTA: San Andreas”.
Cheats prevent the unlocking of trophies
Rockstar Games’ Rich Rosado did not reveal which cheats are affected in detail, but pointed out that the corresponding cheats had to be removed for technical reasons. “We actually had to remove a few for technical reasons. Certain things that didn’t work well with the Unreal engine, ”says Rosado. “I’ll leave it at that.”

It should also be noted that trophy hunters should be careful when using the cheats, as activating cheats can in many cases ensure that various trophies are not unlocked. This applies to all of the three included classics.
The “GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” is available for the PC, the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5, the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X / S.
