Patriots place quarterback Brian Hoyer on reserve list for COVID-19
The New England Patriots placed Brian Hoyer on the reserve list for COVID-19 and he could be out in Week 17 of the 2021-22 NFL season, ESPN reported.
Hoyer began the season as the backup to starter Mac Jones, who has been the team’s quarterback since the start of the regular round.
This exit left Jarrett Stidham, who started the harvest as No. 3 at the position, as the first option to fill in for Jones if there is a setback.
The Patriots are expected to place QB Brian Hoyer on the reserve / COVID list today, per a source.
Hoyer has been the No. 2 QB behind rookie Mac Jones, with Jarrett Stidham the No. 3. Jones and Stidham have continued with regular preparations for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars.
