Take-Two Interactive: Publisher announces further VR titles

In the context of the current annual report, the US publisher Take-Two Interactive pointed out that the company would like to publish more than 60 new games by the end of the 2023/2024 financial year (April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024).

This includes a VR implementation of Rockstar Games’ open-world classic “GTA: San Andreas”, which will be released exclusively for Oculus Quest 2 based on the current state of affairs. As Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, promised in a statement, the VR version of “GTA: San Andreas” will not stay that way. Instead, his company is planning more VR titles to be published in the next few years.

Zelnick praises the creativity of the in-house studios

“We have always said that we want to be where the consumer is. And when VR emerged as a potential technology for the first time, I was skeptical that it would be a very broad consumer application, but I also found it technically very exciting and said that we would be involved, ”said Zelnick.

And further: “Rockstar has already released LA Noire in VR. NBA 2K has arrived in VR. I’m sure we’ll have more VR titles in the future too. That’s why we’re always happy when our creative teams can flex their collective muscles and do different things. And it remains to be seen how big that can be. We never make predictions of this kind, but we are very excited about the possibilities. “

So it remains to be seen which VR titles from Take-Two Interactive we can look forward to in the future.
