Meteorologists predict severe weather and possible tornadoes in the central United States

Oklahoma City, Dallas, Wichita and Kansas should remain on alert as adverse weather conditions could cause thunderstorms and even tornadoes in the coming days. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) reported that as of October 4, more than 1,000 tornadoes have been recorded across the country.

According to the SPC, Texas leads the tornado count with 109 and the number of these natural phenomena is expected to increase in the coming days due to atmospheric changes that could cause severe thunderstorms in the western United States.

The cool, dry air of the Rocky Mountains is expected to it collides on the southern plains with the warm, humid air originating from the Gulf, ”said Adam Sadvary of AccuWeather.

AccuWheather also predicts that this Sunday produce electrical storms in Tulsa, Dallas and Oklahoma. On the other hand, dry and windy conditions are expected in the southern plains, but heavy rains are expected in that area during this week.

Starting Monday, places like St. Louis, Chicago, and Grand Rapids, Michigan are within the area where thunderstorms are expectedas severe weather will move northeast as the week progresses.
