William Shatner, Captain Kirk, to go into space on a Blue Origin rocket

On October 12, actor William Shatner, who played Captain James Kirk in the series Star trek From the 1960s, he will fly into space on a new space tourism trip from the Blue Origin company.
Jeff Bezos and his company will be responsible for taking William Shatner on a new space trip within the NS18 mission. This time Captain Kirk will not board the Enterprise, but the New Shepard rocket which also has a “curious shape“.
With the trip, the Canadian actor would become the “oldest” human to go into space. Shatner is currently 90 years old, 8 years older than Wally Funk, the man who holds the record for the greatest person ever to go on space travel.
The trip will take place on Tuesday, October 12 and the broadcast can be followed live starting at 7 AM Mexico time. As on previous occasions, The flight will last around 10 minutes, climb 80 kilometers and allow the crew of the spacecraft to experience micro gravity. After a few minutes, the New Shepard will descend in a controlled manner through a parachute.

Due to the price of the ticket, trips to “space” are an experience few can afford. So far it is unknown if William Shatner paid the tens of millions of dollars that the trip costs or was a gift from Jeff Bezos that would serve to promote Blue Origin.

William Shatner played Captain Kirk in his late thirties. The Star Trek series only ran for three years, but it became one of the most iconic television sagas in history.
