After a short-term postponement, the multiplayer shooter “Battlefield 2042” developed by DICE will finally be released for consoles and PC in the coming week.

As already announced a few weeks ago, “Battlefield 2042” is also one of the shooters that should be supported over a long period with the regular release of Seasons. In a recent announcement, the makers of DICE pointed out that the first season of “Battlefield 2042” will not be officially presented and published until next year. However, the first details on the content offered have already been given.

Look forward to a new specialist

Of course, a corresponding Battle Pass should not be missing during the first season, which includes a specified number of levels and offers you the opportunity to unlock exclusive rewards such as cosmetic extras. There is also the first new specialist as well as additional content for the portal mode. Specific details on the first season of “Battlefield 2042” and the other content offered will follow in early 2022.

Incidentally, it will not stay with the new seasons. Instead, the developers of DICE also promise weekly changing challenges in which additional rewards, content and now and then time-limited game modes await you. “Battlefield 2042” will be released on November 19, 2021 and thus at the end of next week for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.

If you should buy the Gold or Ultimate Edition of the multiplayer shooter, you can get started tomorrow, Friday, November 12th, 2021. The free 10-hour trial, which is waiting for all EA Access and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, also starts on the same day.
