The Metroidvania “Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night” will soon receive a new update, with which the responsible developers of ArtPlay also add a new playable character.
The responsible developers of ArtPlay have announced some new information about the next update of the Metroidvania “Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night”. Accordingly, the current roadmap will be adjusted a little to bring a new character into the game. Incidentally, this should not come from the world of “Bloodstained”.
Developer apologizes for the update postponement
In an official blog entry it says: “Our next update will bring a new playable character into the game. This is a change from our previously published roadmap. We can confirm that this new character is NOT from the world of Bloodstained. We worked closely with a reputable partner to bring their character (and a friend) into the game. “
With the new character you will be able to explore the full map, even if you have to get hold of certain skills to reach some areas and bosses. The character’s special ability rank and class can also be upgraded.

The developers also admitted that they had some technical issues to deal with, which hampered the development schedule a little. Therefore we apologize to all players for the long delays between the different updates. Due to the postponements so far, it is not yet possible to give a timeframe for the release of the update.
In return, the next but one update should also contain the chaos mode with cooperative multiplayer and a versus mode with multiplayer. As soon as more information is communicated, we will bring you up to date.
