Tehran: The Islamic Republic of Iran has received emergency medical aid sent by the State of Qatar through the Qatar Fund for Development in support of Iran’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi, ambassador of the Qatari Embassy in Iran, and Iranian Health Ministry Undersecretary Jalal Naeli awaited the arrival of the aid.
The 3.5 tonnes of aid contains equipment and medical supplies to counteract the pandemic’s spread. This is Qatar’s fifth shipment to the Islamic Republic of Iran via the Fund since the pandemic emerged.
As part of its efforts to prevent the global spread of the pandemic, the State of Qatar has offered medical assistance to neighbouring countries. With this assistance, the State of Qatar also shows its support for other friendly nations and its willingness to help them get through this difficult time.Â
